Livable Community Fair: There was a good turnout at the event. Barbara Heard, Jud Morris, CC
Williams, Tacey Oliveira, and Ruth Bramhall manned the booth.
Scholarships: Four Peninsula High School students each received a $500.00 scholarship from the
KPBA. This year’s recipients included: Phoebe Stoican, Christina Peters, Hunter Minch, and Luke
Today’s Guest Speaker: Brandy Ellzey, Key Fest President
KeyFest was forced to make a difficult decision, forgoing the event in 2015. Several challenges
confronted the organization. Primary concerns included:
1. Vendor participation
2. Fundraising to meet budgetary needs
3. Volunteer support in planning as well as implementation
KeyFest is already exploring how to best move forward in 2016. Input is encouraged, as is

Katherine ?: New to Serenity Salon. Providing Massage Therapy Services.
Cheryl Johnson: Costco is continuing its cash card promotion, and will be hosting several special
events over the summer.
Phyllis Henry: The Angel Guild welcomes male shoppers.
Joyce Salatino: Representing The Angel Guild.
Ruth Bramhall: The Sportsmen’s Club’s Annual Breakfast was a success. The Longbranch Community
Church will host their Annual Bluegrass Festival in July.
Scott Gallacher: Key Pen Parks will be accepting applications for the caretaker position at Gateway
Park. Key Pen Parks will host a Family 4th of July at Volunteer Park this year.
Guy Allen: Key Peninsula Fire Department: The Fire Department will run a Lid Lift Levy in August.
The Fire Department has plans in place and is ready to act on those plans to improve
the department’s ability to meet the community’s needs.
Penny Gt:azaba Key Peninsula Community Services will host its Annual Golf Tournament on
June 27th. Golfers and sponsors are welcome! The Annual Logging Show will be held in August. More

Brian McLean: The Peninsula Light Company will celebrate its 90th Anniversary on Saturday, July
11th, at Pen Met Parks Annual Family Fun Fest.
Jud Morris: CHS is awaiting additional resources to provide utilities funding for those in need.
Larry Seaquist: Tolling equity continues to be a critical issue impacting our community.
Derek Young: There has been little support for the gas tax in the state house.
The Community Development Committee Meeting will be held on Monday, June 8th at 5:30 pm on the
campus of Harbor Ridge Middle School.
On June 23rd, the Council will meet “in district” at the Gig Harbor Civic Center. The meeting will
begin at 6:30 pm.
Danna Webster: The Community Council will host the legislators at their June 10th meeting.
Barbara Heard: Sound Credit Union is celebrating their 75th Anniversary.
Dick Kelly: The Veterans will present The Aisle of Honor Roll Call on Memorial Day Weekend. George
Robison: The Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at the Key Center Fire station. A
Volksmarch will be held on June 11th.
Frank Grubaugh: The Lid Lift Levy is critical to improving the services the Fire Department can
provide for the community.
Bernie Wiles: New Beginnings is ready to assist with your Real Estate needs
Donna Lester: Dk Property Management has rentals available.
Rosina Vertz: The Library is ready to launch its summer reading program.
