Meeting called to order at
Dana Webster, representing the Key Peninsula Community Council, gave a presentation highlighting the business, the structure and the mission of the council. Elections are scheduled for 9-29th. All areas have positions available.
The Pierce County Advisory Committee is accepting applications. This is a 9 member committee. It will be seated in April, 2008. The group will act as a quasi planning commission for the peninsula.
October 6th is the Pierce County Harvest
Fest. Many
The KPBA brochure is moving forward. Currently, selling the enhanced ads and gathering updated information is the focus. Plans to reach out to members and potential members include email and direct contact. Ruth volunteered to knock on doors. Bret is taking care of the online piece.

Claude: Cheese and wine tasting for LIC. Busy with Harvest Fest and cheese distribution.
Marlies: It is time to create your Christmas and 2008 spring break vacations.
Jerry: Busy building a new house. Dates for 2008 and 2009 Watermark Conference are confirmed. This season they are focusing on young writers.
Dana: The KP News is 40 pages and with full color ads.
Al: Fire Department will have no new drug policy.
Joe: Still working on light.
Trixie: Business at the store remains strong.
Lori: Beach Hut has introduced a new salmon burger to rave reviews. The summer special is a Hawaiian Burger.
Marty: Between
Old Timers Day and the Olalla Bluegrass Festival, he had to solicit help from
Lois: Will be volunteering at Old Timers Day and the Olalla Bluegrass Festival.
Bret: Has
expanded his market off of the
Marv and Myrtle: Are working on extensions. They have had grandchildren visiting.
Ruth: Over 460
were served at the Annual Salmon Bake.
She has tickets for the
Bek: Offered a
brief explanation of the news from the mortgage industry. North Bay Mortgage opened a branch in
Claudia: This season is Sunnycrest’s best yet – lots of business.
