Barb Heard, Ruth Bramhall, Dennis Taylor, Terry & Delia Kaas, Ed Taylor,
John Biggs, Todd Rosenbach, Marty Marcus, Joyce Tovey, Ben Thompson, Caril
Ridley, Ross Bischoff.

Secretary’s Report/Corres: MSC to approve the minutes
from 04/16/04. Treasurer’s Report: Balance
on hand is $4008.13
Old Business/Committees:
- Community Council – There are several local locations where survey
boxes are located for entering registrations for the June 26th
vote. They are in the process of
approving the by laws and researching insurance coverage.
- KP Fair – A tractor pull is planned. Ruth Bramhall is taking phone calls.
- KP Livable Community Fair – Scheduled for May 8th.
- Business Economic Development – Meeting is May 18th. The cost was $76.00 for mailing the
letters.
- Scholarship Committee –Two recipients have been chosen.
Scholarships will be awarded May 19th.
- Road Clean Up –Scheduled for July.
- KPBA Website – Ed needs your information.
- DNR Property/Peninsula Regional Parks – Ed reported on the 360
acres located on the north end of the Key Peninsula under consideration
for purchase from the DNR.
New Business:
1. KP
News – A discussion ensued regarding a letter Ed received from the KP News
requesting transferring assets to the editors from the Civic
Center.
Individual Reports:
- John said the LIC breakfast served about 200 people. 2. Ben said people are positive on the Metro Park issue. 3. Ruth is
taking phone calls for potential vendors for the KP Fair. 4. Todd asked
about sending information items home with school children. It was agreed that it couldn’t be
political. 5. Terry’s boat came in 2nd place last Sunday. 6.
Marv said his business is moving to his home. 7. Caril is running for the
Metro Park District. 8. Dennis has been asked to help with the removal of
junk auto by KP Video. 9. Ross is
running for Metro Park District. 10. Joyce said listings go fast. 11.Marty is having a hands on booth at Snake Lk. on June
11th. 12. Ed needs info
from members for KPBA website. 13.
June has great interest rates.
