Mary Ramsdell, Ruth Bramhall, John Biggs, Ross Bischoff, Ed Taylor, Terry &
Delia Kaas, Claudia Loy, Bek Ashby.

Secretary’s Report/Corres: MSC to approve the minutes
from 6/18/04. Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand is $3499.93
Old Business/Committees:
- KP Community Council – The election was successful with good
representation from the northern Key Peninsula. Dennis passed around
election results, said that completed surveys will help the council with
direction, and wants the KPBA to consider helping the council with seed
money for 2005.
- KP Fair –Fred said the tractor pull and wood carvers would be a
big attraction. Anyone interested
in being a superintendent or judge, see John Biggs. Interest in security,
see Ed Taylor. Interest in helping
in the store, see Ruth Bramhall.
Requests for consideration of a free booth, see Ed Taylor.
- Metro Park District – No report.
- Business Economic Development – June reported the next meeting is
Wednesday, July 7 at a different location.
- Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce – June asked if anyone was interested
in being on this board, or consider being on an economic sub-committee.
- Key Peninsula Community Plan – Applications for membership to the
board and committees was distributed.
Emphasis is this being a comprehensive plan, not for land use
planning.
- KP News – It was MSC (John B) to send a letter as written to the
KPCCA supporting the KP News.
- Road Clean Up –Scheduled for July, although the county picked up
litter a few weeks ago.
- Gig Harbor Hospital – June distributed copies of letters written
on behalf of the KPBA showing support of the new hospital.
New Business:
- KC Corral – Marty asked if the KPBA would consider a donation to
help improve the landscaping at the corral. A short discussion followed,
with no consideration for this donation.
Individual Reports:
- Bek reported that North Bay Mortgage is still running the pen
contest. 2. Fred reported the new fire engines are red & white. 3.
Mary said Angel Guild is having a Rummage Sale & Pancake Breakfast on
August 4. Marv is moving to his new location this weekend. 5. Barb
reported the temperature is now correct on the sign at Sound Credit Union.
6. Dennis said there is a meeting on July 30 for the Crime Prevention Task
Force. 7. Claudia still has tickets
for sale for the Lavender Tour on July 16th. She also said the
KPBA should consider looking at commercial zoning issues in regards to
Lugo’s property being sold. 8. Ruth said the Two Waters is having a
Scarecrow Building Contest and a concert in the park in August. 9. Ross
stated that Pierce County food handlers couldn’t sell fresh eggs in
Farmers Markets. 10. Marty is taking care of the animals at Camp Seymour
while the naturalists are on vacation. 11. June said that Key Bank has a
promo on new small business checking accounts.
