Minutes for Friday, Dec. 3, 2004

Present: June Williams presiding. Barb Heard, Dennis Taylor, Ruth Bramhall, Bek Ashby, Marty Marcus, Fred & Mary Ramsdell, Ed Taylor, Jeff Harris, Marv & Myrtle Keizur, Debra McElroy, Claudia Loy.
Meeting called to order at 7:30am.

Secretary’s Report/Corres: It was MSC to approve the minutes from Nov. 19th. Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand is $2638.57.

1. 2005 Budget – Committee members include: Bek, Ed, Ruth, and Dennis as chairman.
Individual Reports:
Fred warned everyone to be careful since this is the season for more house fires and auto wrecks. He created a new letterhead for the KPBA. Fred said that Santa is coming to Lk.Minterwood on Friday. Mary said the Angel Guild would have their Bag Sale on Dec. 18th. Ruth is selling Two Waters Arts calendars for $15. Ed is collecting KP Fair pictures for the website. Marv was nominated by the Republican Congressional Committee for WA St. Businessman of the Year. Barb mentioned the rise in fraudulent activity this time of year at financial institutions. Debra said they’re doing a lot of land deals and she is also involved in the Peninsula Writers Association. Dennis gave a crime prevention update on the meth drug bust at Horseshoe Lk Estates. Claudia said the KP Health Center Professional Bldg. is filled up. Bek said North Bay Mortgage is planning an open house at their Gig Harbor office on Dec. 7th. Marty mentioned salmon enhancement. There will be a meeting on the condition of streams at the Vaughn Civic Center on Dec. 14th at 7:00pm. June said they have free small business checking accounts at Key Bank.
