Present: Bek Ashby presiding. Barb Heard, Ruth Bramhall, Todd Rosenbach, Dennis Taylor, Joyce Tovey, Marv & Myrtle Keizur, Debra McElroy, Ed Taylor, June Williams, Jeff Harris, Mike Misner, Lois McMahan, Fredericka McGerry and Marlies Van Cise. Meeting called to order at 12:02pm.

Guest Speakers: Becky Morgan from Tacoma Community College was the guest speaker.

Secretary's Report/Corres: It was MSC to approve the minutes from April 1st. Treasurer's Report: Balance on hand is $4099.73.

Communications:

1. KP News - Time to advertise in the Summer Guide.
2. Veterans Institute & Vaughn Bay Cemetery Assoc. - Dedication Ceremony & Memorial Service on May 29th.
3. KP Historical Society - Open House on May 7th.
4. Franciscan Health System - Update meeting on April 26th.

Old Business/Committees:

1. Marketing Committee- Bek reported pictures are needed of the Key Peninsula for the brochures and the website. Mike discussed various subjects for the workshops.
2. KP Fair - Ruth and Ed that the premium books would be on line soon. They are looking for more local vendors and companies to help sponsor the fair.
3. KP Comprehensive Plan Committee - Jeff reported they are working on the environmental plan. >• 4. KP Community Council - Jeff reported work is being done on drafting the strategic plan
5. Business/Economic Development Committee -A meeting on how the chamber can help businesses is scheduled for April 18th, 9:00am at the Best Western.
6. Livable Community Fair - A sign up sheet for manning the booth was passed around. Your business literature for the booth can be dropped off at Windermere Realty.
7. KPBA Scholarship - Bek will present the scholarships on May 18th.
8. Promise to Youth - Dennis distributed a brochure on this subject.

Individual Reports:
Lois talked about the 1-900 petition. June said Key Bank has a great "10-30" equity loan. Barb said Sound Credit Union has a $100 cash back auto refi loan promotion until April 30th. Bek reported North Bay Mortgage could do commercial loans/ Todd is building a strong referral base. Mike realizes the importance of a good secretary. Marlies said referrals really do work. Ed is the busiest he's been in 20 years. Fredericka McGerry said Ameriplan is a discount dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic plan for groups or individuals.
