Old Business: 

Peninsula School District Educational Foundation Breakfast: October 8th. Table is full but taking
reservations for a 2nd table.

New Business:

2016 Officer Positions: Looking for people to run for the positions. Contact Tracey Oliveira.

Membership Dues: The billing will now be in September and due by November 15th as discussed in June.

Speaker: Hans Tuick from Pierce County Economic Development discussed how they try to help businesses grow to bring more money to the community. Currently they are working with Art Beads to get broadband in the area.

 

Business Reports:

Beck Asby, Port Orchard City Council – Active in the West Sound Alliance & worked on the transportation bill.

Tara Hendrickson, Tax Shack – Identity theft is still a major problem right now.

Ruth Bramhall, KP Community Council – Submit suggestions for nominees by October 1st.

Judy Hills, KP Historical Society – Ice Cream Social moved to 09/26 at 2pm. Camp Stand By Me needs life guards.

Guy Allen, KP Fire Chief – Thanks for levy support.

Don Dilson – Has a book out about mountain climbing in Washington.

Leslie Harbaugh, School Board Position 4 – Appreciates the KPBA

Marsha Harvis, Community Council – Received a MIlgard Grant for KP School Bus Connects. Kick Off is next Tuesday.

George Robinson, 26th District – KP Democrats has a meeting on 09/21 regarding I-75.

Chad Beaver, KP Counseling – Growth is good in their 2nd month open.

Jeremiah Saucier – Still working to get a chemical dependency program and has been having meetings to gain support.

Ed Robinson, E&L Engineering – Has worked on 350 projects so far this year. Daughter is taking on more students at 4
Winds Riding.

Randy, PSEF – Raised $7500 for Vaughn Elementary

Derek Young, Pierce Co Council – Been working on Lakebay Marina permits

Barb Heard, Sound Credit Union – Debit/Credit cards being enhanced. Will soon be able to do PIN #’s over the phone.

Laura Connen, Red Barn – Sand was delivered for beach volleyball. 09/19 is a BBQ fundraiser.

Dick Kelly, KP Vets – September 5th & 6th they will be at the Celtic Festival in Belfair

Lori Deacon, Pen Light – Powerstrip project is wrapping up.

Frank Grubaugh, KP Fire – The Chief has a 20 year plan.

Phillis Henry, Angel Guild – Thanks for the logging show attendance. Don’t throw stuff over their fence.

Rosina Vertz, Pierce Co Library – Technology class starts 08/30.

Scott KP Parks – Sept 4thMarry Poppins is playing. Budgeting starts in September.

Janet Schonk, WA Parks – Penrose is full. There’s a new boat launch at Joemma.
