Agenda Approval
It was MSC to approve the agenda.
Secretary’s Report
It was MSC to approve the minutes from March 2, 2018 as presented.
Treasurer’s Report
Ed reported total cash on hand of $9762.59. It was MSC to approve the report as presented.
Association Business:
Scholarship Discussion {Funding & Awards)
Jud will present awards to chosen recipients on May 23. Discussion ensued on remaining $600 from Silent & Dessert Auction going back into the general budget or segregated for scholarships, and the perception and intent of our scholarship funding. It was MSC (Frank) that all monies raised from the two auctions go into the scholarship category.
Livable Community Fair – May 5 10-3pm
Bring your business materials to the next business meeting, or give to Jud beforehand. Volunteers needed to staff our booth.
Road Clean – April 7 – Saturday
Home Park 8:00am Breakfast after at LuLu1s Homeport. Better bring your rain gear! No umbrellas needed.
Evening Business Meetings
Todd is exploring the idea of replacing some morning KPBA business meetings with evening meetings. He will give a report next meeting.
Grand Opening BBQ-New Beginnings RE, DK Property Mgt, All Around Gutters – April 14
It was MSC to fund $100 from the After Hours category for this event.
Website Update
Charles reported that we have to define what we need in order to determine the cost. Send changes & updates to Jud by April 30. Ed will send current membership, also current officers and minutes are needed. Jud will send to webmaster to get costs, then discuss at May meeting. Would also like input from other members at the April 20 lunch meeting.
Guest Speaker/Lunch Meeting – Congressman Derek Kilmer April 20 Noon El Sombrero Restaurant
Individual Reports:
Frank, Fire Dept – is busy and he is attending a seminar.
Cheryl, Costco – is having a membership deal currently.
Marcia, KP School Bus Connects – will shuttle attendees to the Aisle of Honor again this year.
Scott, KP Parks – has two State events coming with the first one April 15. Parks Appreciation Day is April 28.
Charles – Lakebay Marina opens May 1.
Dick – No longer reporting for the KP Veterans.
Nancy, UC – upcoming events include a Super Sale (April 28) and Memorial Day Dance (May 26). Rosina-Toastmasters now meeting at KP Lutheran Church at 8:00am on Thursdays.
Jud, CHS – funding distribution is helping a person a day with their utilities. Starting a support group 11 Grandparents Raising Grandchildren 11 on the 4th Monday of every month, 6:00 pm at Evergreen Elementary. Potluck supper first, then support group meets.
